Manifesto / Artist statement:

First of all, I wanted to give players a casual and comfortable experience of visiting their families to have lunch with them. At the same time, I wanted to make the experience more immersive or believable by changing the lines of other family members as the player interacts with a specific family member. For that, I expected dramatically complicated branch logic and I think I was able to apply it safely with fix these logics by a bunch of playtesting. All interaction elements use at least two variables to check the current progress of the player and update the NPC dialog accordingly. For example, the 'mom' has more than five different conversation patterns depending on which family member the player has interacted with.
